A Book About Death Australia Exhibition Opening Night

Just in case you haven't seen the tab at the top of the blog page about our fantastic exhibition opening, here's what's happening....

At 6pm artist Kellie O'Dempsey will  give a short performance: Drawings for the dead: Dear Mum

This will be an intimate performance that considers conversations with loved ones who have died accompanied by musicians Michael Dick (double bass) and Vasudha Hart (Tibetan Singing Bowl) to create an atmospheric soundscape. The performance will finish at 6.30pm.

Then it is the official opening of the exhibition by participating artist Rahima Jackson and co-curator Heather Matthew.

Artists who attend are invited to create their own name tag with their name and artists' submission number eg #124 Heather Matthew and #281 Julie Barratt so that everyone can mix and mingle and talk about their artworks.

Then join us afterwards at the art deco Regent Cinema on its rooftop balcony in the heart of Murwillumbah for an after exhibition mix & mingle after 8pm.
